Hanoi  – Vietnam always attaches importance to developing the friendship and comprehensive cooperation with China, said Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh.

While receiving Secretary of China’s Guangdong provincial Party Committee Wang Yang in Hanoi on September 8, the Party leader said he expected Guangdong province to continue boosting multi-faceted cooperation with Vietnamese localities, especially in investment and trade.

The two sides should share experiences, educate young people on the traditional friendship and organise cultural exchanges in order to increase mutual understanding, he added.

For his part, Secretary Wang said he was pleased with great achievements the Vietnamese people have made during the renewal process initiated and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam.

He also expressed wish to further strengthen the relationship between Guangdong and Vietnamese localities, especially in areas of investment, trade, training, tourism and service, thus helping bolster the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China
